Berlin, a multilevel gay nightclub, opened at 1012 Sumner Avenue in late 1982. Al Spencer opened Berlin in the building formerly inhabited by New Dimensions. After closing the short-lived Berlin in early 1984, Spencer reopened the club as The Ritz.
