Atlantis

in Bars, Clubs, and Discos

Club Atlantis, an “upscale alternative” nightclub, opened at 620 Frankfort Avenue in 1998. Co-owners Michael Tritola and Michael Sidora opened the multilevel venue (formerly Numbers Nightclub) as a “high energy” dance club themed after the mythic ‘lost city of Atlantis.’ The club’s interior featured sleek “marble walls” complimented by newly updated lighting and sound systems. Club Atlantis contained a “tri-level dance floor,” two bars, and seating on its lower level. The club’s upper levels contained additional lounge areas with pool tables. Club Atlantis frequently hosted themed dance parties and occasionally hosted live drag performances. Club Atlantis closed in 2001.
