in Bars, Clubs, and Discos

Another Place, a gay show bar, opened at 2140 Payne Avenue in 1981. Henry Henderson and Sam Fudge, co-owners of the former Mist-A-Henry’s, opened Another Place after an arson attack destroyed Mist-A-Henry’s in late 1980. Another Place offered drinks, female impersonator shows, and other forms of live entertainment. Another Place closed sometime after 1986.
