Wonderful Westside Women

in Groups and Organizations

Wonderful Westside Women (Women-3) was a lesbian women’s social group geared toward lesbian women living on Cleveland’s West Side. Linda Malicki and Bobbi (last name unknown) formed Wonderful Westside Women in 1985 to provide Cleveland’s West Side women’s community with a “social alternative” to the existing bar-based social scene. Between 1985-1990, Wonderful Westside Women held monthly group meetings in a room rented from the West Shore Unitarian Church (20401 Hilliard Boulevard, Rocky River). W-3 relied on small donations from members to cover rental costs and to fund group activities and outings, including picnics, outings, dinners, lectures, workshops, parties, and other social events.
