Swingers, a 24-hour “all-male gay bookshop and movie arcade,” opened at 1818 Prospect Avenue East in 1979. Swingers was an “all-male” adult entertainment center that catered specifically to gay men. Swingers featured a video arcade, viewing booths, and “romp rooms” for cruising.
