Prime Timers Cleveland, Cleveland’s “premier social organization for mature gay men and their admirers,” was founded in 2000. Prime Timers Cleveland is a local chapter of the international social organization Prime Timers Worldwide. Prime Timers Cleveland’s primary purpose is to “[provide] social opportunities to come together in a supportive atmosphere to enjoy social, educational, and recreational activities.” Prime Timers Cleveland’s membership open to “all adult males over twenty-one who promote educational, cultural, and social activities for older gay and bisexual men.” Prime Timers Cleveland hosts regular monthly meetings, sometimes hosted in member’s homes, “in the social hall of a local church, or alternatively at a restaurant.” Group activities have included “potlucks, tours, movies,” “annual Thanksgiving dinner and holiday celebrations,” and “giveaways, raffles, and other surprises at meetings.”
