Moe’s, a short-lived gay men’s leather bar, opened at 1740 East 17th Street in late 2004. Moe’s leather bar closed in 2005, at which point the historic Moe’s Tavern building was resold to a new owner. Moe’s Tavern reopened as a neighborhood bar in 2005.
