Equinox Disco opened at 17555 Lake Shore Boulevard in 1977. The Equinox disco featured dancing, nonstop disco music DJ’d by Joe Brosta, as well as “pinball, pool, or just a quiet table to sit and talk with old or newly made friends.” The Equinox had a swimming pool that was open to all patrons, weather permitting. A Sunday brunch was offered weekly.
