Detour, a gay nightclub, opened at 1281 West 9th Street in 1991. Detour, a “two-story nightclub,” was co-owned by Doris Palmer and John Katsaros. Palmer and Katsaros closed Detour in 1994. The bar reopened as Grid nightclub later that year.
