Colors of Cleveland Pride

Colors of Cleveland Pride was an all-volunteer nonprofit organization founded in 2009 by Sonja Leftwich. Colors of Cleveland Pride was created in response to ongoing racial and cultural divides within the broader LGBTQ+ community in Cleveland. Colors’ purpose was to “provide outreach services to all communities, regardless of differences, in an effort to bridge the racial divisiveness within these communities.” Colors of Cleveland Pride organized a variety of community-based assistance programs, youth programs, fundraisers, and educational events.
