Club Kabana, a nightclub, opened at 7500 Euclid Avenue (formerly home to the famed R&B venue Leo’s Casino) in 1972. Club Kabana frequently featured live acts and entertainment, often giving top billing to local and national female impersonators and drag performers. Between 1972 and 1973, Club Kabana hosted the Powder Puff Revue, a nationally renowned “female impersonator troupe.” Later that year, Club Kabana hosted the Miss Drag Cleveland competition.
