Bottoms Up

Bottoms Up, a gay bar, opened at 1572 West 117th Street in 2008. Bottoms Up initially opened as a straight neighborhood bar in 2002, later closing in 2007. Under new ownership, Bottoms Up was reopened under the same name as a gay nightclub in 2008. Bottoms Up featured “two bars, a raised stage area, a VIP section, and a stripper pole surrounded by mirrors.” The popular gay bar hosted a variety of themed parties and weekly events, including “drag shows” and “girl and guy nights.” Bottoms Up closed in 2013.
